ABOUT US

One Love Radio is an
independent, online music website based in London UK. We aim
to provide the best possible musical and informative platform
for the Kizomba community around the globe, starting with the
UK then branch out from there. The idea is to provide the
Kizomba community with a single source of information for
interesting news and updates as well as allowing the audience
to connect with the artists through interactive shows and
interviews in a way that they would not have been able to
otherwise.
The content of the site was sourced from a cleverly put together combination of SoundCloud, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram data feeds to keep you fully up to date with what’s happening in the Kizomba scene. This includes, events, live shows, interviews and competitions as well as music. We have DJ mixes from over 30 top international DJs with more DJs added daily. Also video and audio recordings of our latest shows and interviews.
If you’re an event organiser or DJ and you would like to be listed and included on our site in some way, this is a great time to take advantage of our free advertising service for Kizomba related projects. Just go to our contact page to send us a message with your details included.
We hope you enjoy the website...

UNITED COLOURS OF AFRICA

With the emergence of reggae music, and legends like Bob Marley, the association between the African colours and Jamaica strengthened. Misconception spread across the globe, and their intended symbolism of Africa was lost to many.
Red, gold and green are actually the colours of many African national flags. However, more interestingly, these are the colours of the Ethiopian flag, which is the only country in Africa to avoid being colonised by a European country (although the Italians tried and failed twice).
Not only do the colours represent the motherland, but they also represent a united nation of people, rich in many diverse cultures, and distributed far and wide around the world. With open and welcoming hearts, they are willing to share their culture in return for respect and appreciation. So, whenever you see these colours in the future, It is Africa and its cultural impact on the world should be brought to mind most prominently.
